Dental Care
Ukrainian people legally in UK are entitled to all NHS services including dental care. However, unlike medical care, this is only free for a few exempt categories of patient. Details of fees and who is eligible for free care can be found here https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/dentists/dental-costs/how-much-will-i-pay-for-nhs-dental-treatment/ and here https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/dentists/dental-costs/get-help-with-dental-costs/
Emergency dental care (for pain, facial swelling and dental trauma) is always available and can be accessed by contacting the 111 service who will direct the patient to an emergency dental service.
Registering with an NHS dentist for routine care may be problematic due to lack of capacity but a list of local practices who might take NHS patients can be found here https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-dentist Some practices will take children as NHS patients but not adults.
Ukrainian guests may find it easier, or may prefer, to register with a private dentist. Choosing a practice is probably best done by personal recommendation/word of mouth. Costs of treatment can often be found on the practice's website. Most private dentists offer dental health plans, such as DPAS or Denplan, which can help to reduce or spread costs. These should be available for anyone to join but usually require an initial consultation to assess the state of dental health.
Some dentists provide routine orthodontic treatments in their surgeries. Otherwise a referral from a dentist to an orthodontist is required. NHS funding for orthodontic therapy is only available if strict criteria are met.
