Bath Welcomes Refugees – ESOL Classes - Adult ESOL classes (at four different levels) run 12.15-14.00 on Tuesday at Manvers Street Baptist Church, Bath. (There is a creche for under 5s)

Google Translate has its limitations, but works reasonably well when translating whole phrases, rather than individual words.

Translation for medical needs : GPs and hospitals have access to translation services using professional translators via telephone links. As these translators are trained, understand medical terminology and are bound by the code of confidentaility it is preferable to use them rather than family members or friends. It is helpful to let the practice or hospital know that translation will be needed when making an appointment. (Google Translate can be useful in an emergency or if no other translation service is available.)
